This is not a starchief so it is the shorter cheaper version of the hardtop. All glass, doors and deck lid interchange with a 55-57 chevy. I have owned this car since the mid 80s and did a partial restore on it then. Not a frame off restore. What i did do was rebuild the motor (probably 7500 miles on rebuild)recovered the seats front and back with original pattern but not original material but they look good. Put in new carpet and headliner. Exterior was professionally striped to bare metal and repainted. Car showed no evidence of ever being wrecked. Car was a totally rust free western nebr car with the exception on the right rear 1/4 infront of the rear tire. As seen in the pictures it was repaired but not on the bottom(facing the ground)of the rocker panel. All glass is good except windsheild has a crack but is readily avalible as is the same as 55 chevy. All gauges work as do the radio and heater also all the lights i also rebuilt the generator and radiator. Has new master cylinder a couple years back. Has bias ply wide whites but are old, have plenty of tread but are old. New light up hood ornament plastic insert. The dash has spider web cracks in the laquar paint as laquar does but isn't bad so i didn't do anything with it. Aside from the old tires i would not be afraid to drive it anywhere. The battery in the picture will be replaced with the correct one with the correct hold down. I am selling because i am looking at another project and need the room. It is hard to let go. I can possibly deliver it from western nebr. 1. 00/mile. Car is located in western nebraska 60 miles off i80. Good luck and happy bidding. Also as seen in the photo i have a front bumper guard accessory that goes with the car but needs rechromed. I can be reached for any questions @ 308-631-2541. Thanks and happy bidding.
